Getting Started with Wharby
This guide walks you through launching your dedicated Wharby tenant instance, configuring your owner account, and inviting your team.
1. Requesting Access & Private Beta Passcode
Wharby is currently in private beta for friends and family teams. To initialize a tenant instance:
- Navigate to the Start Instance onboarding page.
- Sign in with your owner identity (Google Workspace or GitHub OAuth).
- Enter your assigned Beta Invite Passcode.
2. Choosing Your Tenant Subdomain
Each Wharby organization receives a dedicated, isolated domain:
- Production URL:
https://<workspaceId>.wharby.dev/
Enter a short, lowercase alphanumeric identifier (e.g. acme, widget-corp).
Once submitted, Wharby automatically provisions your dedicated tenant pod with independent NoteDb storage, dedicated memory reservation, and customized Gerrit site configuration.
3. Accessing Your Gerrit Instance
Once provisioning completes, your services are accessible at:
- Gerrit Web UI:
https://<workspaceId>.wharby.dev/ - Workspace Settings:
https://<workspaceId>.wharby.dev/settings - SSH Git Gateway:
ssh://<workspaceId>.wharby.dev:29418/
Note on SSH Port 29418: Port
29418is the upstream standard Gerrit SSH port, designed for high-throughput Git clone, fetch, and push operations directly with the native Gerrit SSH daemon.
